Jefferson Co Glacial Heritage Area Horse Trail Meeting

posted Mar 18, 2013, 6:20 PM by Ken Carpenter
The Glacial Heritage Area (GHA) is a network of parks, wildlife and natural areas, historic and cultural sites connected to each other and nearby cities and villages by trails and waterways and preserves, all connected by trails and waterways – like and pearls on a string.  This project is centered in Jefferson County but does included some areas in the surrounding counties.  A new team is forming to explore planning of horse trails as part of this project.  The project leaders are both DNR and Jefferson County Parks along with various non-profits, individuals and businesses.  This new horse trail team will meet next week.

Those interested in horse trail planning in Jefferson County are invited to attend a meeting of this new horse trail team on Wednesday 3/20 at 1:00 in room 202 of the Jefferson County Court House.  Meeting should end by 2:30.  Please attend if you can as numbers are important.

Ken will be tweeting from the meeting.  You can follow @nailshorse
